ACEC/MA hosts a variety of events to promote professional development and networking for Massachusetts engineers, land surveyors and related design professionals.
This ACEC/MA Building Engineering Committee (BEC) meeting will be on Zoom.
Guests: Harshika Bisht, Senior Sustainable Design Reviewer, Boston Planning & Development Agency, Jaein Lee, Architectural Designer, Elkus Manfredi Architects
For our September meeting, please join us for a briefing from Harshika Bisht, Senior Sustainable Design Reviewer for the Boston Planning & Development Agency, on the recent changes to Article 37.
Harshika will brief BEC on the July changes to Boston’s Zoning Article 37 (Green Buildings and Net Zero Carbon standards). The amendments include requirements for Net Zero Carbon (NZC) which limits building operational GHG emissions to zero for most building types, lowering the applicability threshold for NZC to include small projects, and requirements for embodied carbon Life Cycle Analysis reporting for large projects.
