Mike McGurl is the Director of Capital Planning for the Massachusetts School Building Authority. Mike joined the MSBA's Capital Planning department in 2013 following three years as a project management consultant supporting the start of the MSBA's Green Repair Program. Within the Construction Administration team\, his responsibilities included leading the Accelerated Repair Program. Mike became the Deputy Director of Capital Planning in 2021 working on annual and long-term objectives while continuing oversight of the Accelerated Repair Program and leading a newly established Data team. In 2023\, Mike became the Director of Capital Planning. Mike holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of New Hampshire and a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering Construction Engineering from North Carolina State University. The Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA) is a quasi-independent government authority created to reform the process of funding capital improvement projects in the Commonwealth's public schools.
